Pupils at a North Shields primary raised money for Children in Need by coming to school on Friday with painted faces and in Pudsey Bear colours. All children from nursery to Year 6 at St Joseph’s RC Primary School were invited to join in the fundraising, in return for a small donation to the BBC’s annual fundraising appeal.

Pupils at a Newcastle primary school joined in nationwide fundraising activities for Children in Need by holding a non-uniform day on Friday. The whole school at St Michael's Catholic Primary School in Elswick were invited to take part by wearing their own clothes or in Pudsey attire in return for a small donation. A high school today unveiled a poignant display featuring the names of individual soldiers written on poppies by students. The ‘Field of Remembrance’ tribute has been created at St Mary’s Catholic School. It features poppies with the name of individual soldiers, which were chosen by students during lessons, as well as other Remembrance messages. Two teachers at a West Norfolk school have won an unsung hero award for being “incredible advocates” for a charity which helps to support and inspire young people. Dominic Stannard and Daniel Hudson, from Marshland High School, were presented with the award during the Jon Egging Trust (JET) 10th anniversary dinner at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. . |
