Budding artists at a Gosforth primary celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III with a host of creative activities. The pupils in Years 1 to 6 at the aptly named St Charles’, a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, made portraits of the king, while the reception children designed, painted and decorated their own royal crowns. A parade and a garden party, complete with kings, queens, princes and princesses, took place at Salfords Primary School, a member of GLF Schools, on Friday (5) as part of the school’s Coronation celebrations.
Children at the school in Redhill came ‘dressed to impress the King’ in a range of costumes, before enjoying a selection of themed garden party games on the school field. Pupils at Snettisham Primary enjoyed a street party as part of their school’s Coronation celebrations. They also made crowns to wear, and were presented with commemorative Coronation mugs, which had been provided by the Friends of the school, a member of the West Norfolk Academies Trust. Pupils at a primary school in Walbottle got creative when it came to celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III. Children at St Cuthbert’s, a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education, enjoyed a wide range of themed activities to commemorate the occasion. Children at Cordwalles Junior School in Camberley, a member of GLF Schools, will be sure to remember the Coronation of King Charles III after celebrations held at the school culminated in them each receiving a commemorative medal.

Dressed in traditional red, white and blue to mark the occasion, the children spent the morning planting daffodil bulbs and sunflower seeds, as well as the special tree, which was planted in honour of the King. Members of royalty mingled in the playground when GLF Schools' Marden Lodge Primary School and Nursery in Caterham celebrated the Coronation.
Children and staff came to school on Friday (5) dressed as royalty, or sporting patriotic red, white and blue, for a day of themed activities which included making their own Coronation keepsakes. |
